What We Believe

God
God is the Holy, Sovereign, and Righteous creator of the universe. God is light in his is no darkness he is pure, holy, and completely good He cannot lie or do evil of any kind.

The Trinity
God has chosen to reveal himself in three persons. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost make up the one true and living triune God.

Jesus
Jesus Christ is the second person of the trinity (God the Son). He is the visible manifestation of God who came to earth in the fullness of time born of a virgin to live a perfect life and die as a sacrifice for all humanity’s sin thus offering mankind forgiveness of sin through his blood and victory over death through his resurrection.

Man
Man is the crown of God’s creation. Man was created in perfection and dwelt in the presence of God in the Garden of Eden. However, man disobeyed God and sinned thus banishing him from God’s presence. Man is born in sin and has to be redeemed from sin through belief on Jesus Christ in order to be reconciled back to God.

The Bible
The bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant, word of God. God verbally inspired men to write the scriptures and the bible contains the full revelation of God’s word to man. Nothing is to be added to or taken away. The bible contains no error nor does is contradict itself in any point therefore making it the authority on every single issue of life. The bible is a living book that changes lives when it is preached, obeyed, and applied.

Creation
According to the bible God created the heavens and the earth in 6 literal days.

The Rapture
The rapture is the next major prophetic event to take place in the life of God’s church. The rapture is a signless event in which the bride of Christ (the church) will be caught away and instantly translated into the presence of God.

The Second Coming
Jesus Christ will visibly return to this earth at the end of the tribulation period and usher in an earthly kingdom which will last 1000 years.

The Church
The church is the body of Christ. The church was born on the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2 when the Holy Ghost fell on and indwelt the believers in Jerusalem. The church continues to be the most important institution on earth and is made up of the reborn and redeemed. The church is to carry on the work of Christ through the great commission until he returns for us.

The Gospel
The Gospel is defined for us in the word of God as the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Anything that adds to or takes away from this doctrine is a perversion of the salvation message of the Gospel. The gospel is to be preach in all the world to every creature.

Salvation
Man is saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Salvation is available to all who will repent of their sins and believe on Jesus Christ. God desires all men to be saved.

Eternal Security
Salvation guarantees the believer eternal life. Once a person is born again they are secure in the hand of the Father for all time. They shall never perish.

Baptism
Baptism is an ordinance of the church. Commanded by our Lord baptism is the first act of obedience to be practiced by a believer. We are buried with Christ in baptism and raised again to walk in the newness of life. Baptism has no saving value but is vital to our ongoing relationship with the Lord.

The Lord’s Supper
The Lord supper is the second and last ordinance commanded for the church to observe in the New Testament. The Lord’s Supper like baptism is a picture of what Christ has done for us. The Lord supper has no saving value but is also vital in our ongoing relationship with God.

Marriage
Marriage is defined for us by God and is to be limited to one man and one woman joining together in the bonds of love. Anything other than this definition is an evil perversion of God’s gift of marriage.

Life
Life is to be granted and taken only by God himself. Life is precious and to be protected at all cost. According to the bible life begins at conception thus making life in the womb just as valuable as any other human being.

Satan
The bible teaches that Satan was created by God as a holy angel who’s name was Lucifer. Lucifer revolted against God and as a result was cast down with one third of the angels that conspired with him. Jesus gives us victory over the enemy and at the close of the millennial kingdom Satan will be cast in the lake of fire for eternity.

Hell
Hell is a literal location prepared originally for Satan and his fallen angels. However, since humanity’s fall hell has also become a place for disobedient, unredeemed, man who reject the saving power of Jesus Christ.

Heaven
Heaven is a place currently being prepared for those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. We cannot fathom what God has prepared for them that love him.
